Huntersville is getting a Dog Park!

Groundbreaking this morning at the Rosedale Nature Park will add another park in Huntersville. Sitting across the street from an existing Greenway, this park has easy access to several neighborhoods.  A new segment of the Greenway will cut directly through the park and extend out to the Tunnel under I-77.  This will bring more walkable/bikeable access to additional neighborhoods.

The park will include:

• Natural Play Area

• Accessible Play

• Rock Outcrop

• Hill Slide

• Lawn

• Overlook with Seat Wall

• Fitness Stations

• Gravel and Concrete Trails

• Torrence Creek Greenway Extension

• Restroom

For those of you with dogs, this new park will include:

• Small Dog Park

• Large Dog Park

• Dog Park Green Space

• Dog Park Shade Pavilion

Construction is underway and this park is expected to be completed sometime this fall.
