The GREENWAYS are coming …
During our Town Board Meeting on February 1st, the Town Board passed two Joint Development Agreement with the County to build two sections of Greenway in Huntersville.
These joint development agreements with the County were to prioritize and fund two segments of Greenways here in Huntersville. In short, the Town will pay for the planning and design of these two segments and the County will fund the actual construction. Without the Town’s contribution, it is hard to know when these two new segments would get built.
The County approved their portion of the funding during their Board Meeting on Tuesday evening. A special thanks to our County Commissioner from District 1, Elaine Powell. We appreciate her support for our Greenways and the funding of this new segment approved by the county.
