The town kicked off a major road project with a groundbreaking this morning for the Main Street Project.

This project along Main Street will create two new traffic circles.  One will be on the north side of downtown (near Ramah Church Road) and the other at the south end of downtown (at the intersection of Mt Holly-Huntersville Road).

There will be a new stoplight at Main Street & Huntersville-Concord Road.  Church Street will be realigned at Huntersville-Concord Road. You will also see the burying of utility poles along with many other improvements.

This project is expected to take about two years to complete.
